Read what some of the participants and organizers have to say.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I enjoyed this book because it&#8217;s a theme I like to teach: The way diseases affect history and society,&#8221; said William Woods University biology professor Kath Mayne, a member of the One Read reading panel, citing how the book looks at the way society handled the tuberculosis epidemic in the early 1900&#8217;s. &#8220;It has interesting parallels I think.&#8221;</p>
