  1. Such great selections, and so diverse! Choosing a favorite One Read is tough, but you can’t go wrong with the classics, so To Kill a Mockingbird tops my list. Most of the others I’ve read only once; To Kill a Mockingbird bears revisiting.

    Good books chosen, but Ender’s Game is the book that blows me away every time I pick it up. The sequels are just as astounding, and it hits on just about every deep issue, and then some that I had never thought of. Science fiction at its best will always be able to explain more about humanity.

    I recommend “Hotel at the Corner of Bitter and Sweet” for consideration as the next One Read book. It is a wonderfully written book about a part of our history that should not be forgotten.
